Happy New Year to you all. Thank you for your support in Nobori Betsu Onsen\u2019s Dai-ichi Takimotokan in 2019. We are very grateful to all of our guests who visited us during the past year. Once again, many joined us to celebrate the beginning of the New Year with us, and we are so very thankful to share it with each of you. In the future, we hope to offer you a comfortable place to rest and stay. Our staff will continue to devote themselves to this goal. <\/p>\n

Here is what happened on New Year\u2019s Day here at Dai-ichi Takimotokan. <\/p>\n

First, we had Otoso (special spiced sake). <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Members of our staff dressed in festive kimono served New Year\u2019s sake for good luck for the year. Also, the Shishi-mai (Lion Dance) was performed three times by Kamon Eishin on New Year\u2019s Day in our lobby to bring good luck and chase away evil spirits.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

It is also believed that if the lion \u2018bites\u2019 your head, you will be protected from illness and disaster. This year, many guests gathered to be \u2018bitten.\u2019<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

We also offered a New Year\u2019s special meal, Ozoni, a New Year\u2019s soup whose ingredients vary from region to region, at Ideyu Soba on the first floor of our hotel.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The toppings that nearly hide the mochi (rice cakes) are sumptuous treats for the New Year. It is also worth noting that the water used for the broth is from the Sodium Spring, one of our drinking spas. The result is a mellow yet rich taste. The cost is 1,296 yen including tax.<\/p>\n

In the evening, in Yukiguni and Genshirin, we welcome everyone with glittery Osechi-style dishes perfect for celebrating the arrival of the New Year. <\/p>\n

As part of our celebrations, we also had a Children\u2019s Day and our local taiko group, Hokkai Ideyu Daiko. We will be happy to see everyone here. <\/p>\n
